I really enjoyed your sessions at Adobe Max but I have one question: the cmd+3 option doesn’t work on my mac. I think that it is one of the most helpfull things I’ve seen but it just takes a screenshot on my mac (it’s the standard keybinding) in stead of opening that menu, do you have any idea what’s going wrong?

ah well – i figured out that you can tell flash builder to open html pages internally, so at least i can view the swf side by side with my code – i was just hoping that there was a shortcut for it

Great session, i hav already gone through the presentation on adobeTV a few times. It has helped me a lot.
I was wondering, do you know of shortcut to build and run my as3 project within Flash Builder – not to an outside browser? I like to see my code and my swf running side by side.

I have a suggestion that I think would shed a lot of time in code creation.

In eclipse when writing Java code ending parenthesis and quotations get automatically inserted when you type the beginning. Then if your cursor is immediately in front of the ending character if you type that ending character instead of inserting a new ending character it moves the cursor to the other side of the ending character.

Using Flash Builder in MXML files it auto creates opening and ending quotation marks when you select an attribute using autocomplete. It would be nice if when the cursor is immediately in front of the ending quotation mark and I hit the quotation mark key that it would just move the cursor instead of inserting a new one.

@arten: I tried to mention which features were new to FB 4 but I probably didn’t catch every one. For SWF9, you can build them with FB4 but you’ll need to use the Flex 3 SDK. SDK 4 requires Player 10.

@Maarten: On my Mac, Cmd-Shift-3 is what takes a screen shot. If yours is bound to Cmd-3, you’re going to need to rebind either your Mac command or your Eclipse command. The Eclipse command is called “Quick Access”, and you can rebind it in the “Keys” preference page.
